Saudi woman will pay N208 million to find Mr Right
How much will you pay to land Mr. Right? For this Saudi woman, the answer is SR5 million (the equivalent of N208 million). Weird? Yes, but we are talking true love here – can we really put a price on that?
The Saudi woman put the attractive advertisement in the local magazine, Roa, calling on all marriage-ready applicants to write in via email or fax. The announcement neither mentioned the woman’s name, age or whereabouts and the millions do come with strings attached.
She will only reveal the conditions in person, however, the ad explains.
“Applicants should provide their contact number so the woman will contact them in case she agrees on the marriage,” the magazine said.It quoted the woman as saying: “It does not matter whether the new husband is attracted to my money as the most important thing is that he must appreciate marriage life and marital duties…I am even ready to accept a Misyar marriage [a contractual marriage in which the couple may continue to live separately and meet to satisfy marital duties when they please] and pay him SRfive million at once…he will live with me in my villa and must accept all my conditions which I will reveal to him later.”
According to the magazine the woman is divorced, said to have parted ways with her first husband because he was “greedy and wanted only money”.
“I made the wrong choice first time….I want to make the right choice now…my main obsession now is to marry…I am desperate to marry,” the woman said. Eighty percents of Misyar relationships end in divorce, a report noted. Let’s hope this “desparate to marry” is lucky the second time around.
Dominican brothers who grew breasts are glad to be rid of their “moobs” (video)
The Ramirez brothers, a trio who grew breasts due to a rare genetic disorder, are happy to now be able to live “a normal life” after going under the knife, the Daily Mail reported.
The boys, aged 11, 12 and 17, who recently underwent a painful surgery to remove fully formed breasts, are from the southern rural town of Magueyal. They say they are glad they will no longer be bullied, beaten or degraded for their “moobs”.
Yeuri, 17, told local TV: “It hurt a lot but now I feel good. Now they can’t make fun of us anymore.”
The story of the boys with breasts was hard for some to believe, but the boys’ father, Felipe, was desperate to get help for his sons, even reaching out to specialists through a television news programme Zona5.
Felipe is a single father and works as a food stall seller, so he could hardly afford the surgery for all three of his boys. Medics at the Marcelino Velez Santana Hospital soon came to his rescue, and the hospital’s head, Dr. Pedro Antonio Delgado, agreed to pay for the operations.
After tests to see if Yeuri, his 11-year-old brother Gabriel and 12-year-old Daniu could undergo treatment, they each went under the knife for two hours, the Mail reported. After the operation, for the condition called gynecomastia which affects males who have a hormonal imbalance, Dr Elbi Morla told the show: “In reality, this is a key moment in their evolution. “It was something that was affecting them greatly.”
Their father, Felipe, expressed gratitude for the help, saying “they are now normal men. They have had them taken off. I never had the hope that this would happen.”
“I never had the money to do this. I’m so thankful to the press for helping.”

The work is not done. Doctors say they will monitor the boys’ development and give them medication to curb the female hormones their bodies are producing. The condition is genetic, doctors explain, adding that it was most likely caused by a hormonal anomaly passed on through generations of the area’s small congenital gene pool.
UK to screen Nigerians for tuberculosis before issuing visas
Travelers from 67 countries including Nigeria, will soon be screened for Tuberculosis (TB) before being granted a visa to enter the UK. The pre-entry screening is expected to start in phased stages around July 2012.
The new rules were announced by British Immigration Minister, Damian Green on Tuesday, when he stated that the scheme is for migrants coming from countries with high incidence of tuberculosis.
Under the scheme, all migrants coming to the UK for more than six months from the 67 countries identified as having a high incidence of TB by the World Health Organisation will need to be screened for the airborne infection before being granted a visa.
