Charlyboy Drags National Mirror to Court

Charlyboy dragged National Mirror to court for Libel on June 19th for publishing a story on Saturday, the 28^th May, 2012 claiming that he had admitted being gay and Head of the Nigerian Illuminati. 

Charlyboy in a suit filed in the Lagos High Court on Tuesday demanded for 1 billion naira compensation and a total retraction of the story.

Goldie goes gaga in “Say My Name” video; you like?

Goldie’s “Say My Name” flatters some American divas by imitating them. She takes a scene out of Beyonce’s “Sweet Dreams” video, as well as Rihanna’s “Rockstar” video, which is the bit where we see Derenle rocking out.

We then see scenes with a golden Goldie, the temptress wearing a crown made reeds with snake-like eyes. It would either freak you out or captivate you… or both. She scores points there. All in all, an enjoyable watch… if the copycat scenes don’t bug you.

Bobby Brown marries manager in Hawaii

The couple made it official, tying the knot two years after Brown proposed to Etheredge at a New Edition concert in Jacksonville, Florida. Brown mixed business with wedded bliss, getting married during the Honolulu leg of his New Edition tour.

The couple were surrounded by family and friends as they started their new life together. The 43-year-old singer’s children – Landon, 23, La’Princia, 22, and Bobby Jr., 19, as well as the couple’s only child together, Cassius, 3, who acted as the ring bearer – were present at the wedding.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the R&B singer’s 19-year-old daughter with the late Whitney Houston, was absent from the ceremony. The aspiring reality television star reportedly stayed in New York to film some scenes for her upcoming Lifetime show, The Houston Chronicles.
Brown divorced Houston, his wife of 14 years in 2007. The “I Will Love You” singer died in February after drowning due to heart disease brought on by years of substance abuse.
The New Edition tour will pick up Saturday in Oakland, California, reports said.

The rumor is wrong;Timi Alaibe and Agbani Darego Not tying the knot...

The rumor mill has it wrong this time. There will be no wedding between Bayelsa politician Timi Alaibe and beauty queen, Agbani Darego, Alaibe’s aides have said.

The aide, who is a long time associate of the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, said he spoke to Alaibe on Monday night who is “very embarrassed by the speculations in the media”.
“He has no such plan. His immediate concern for now is to raise his children and make them not to feel the absence of their mother who passed on over three years ago,” the anonymous aide said.

Lagos Still Among World’s Most Expensive Cities, Survey Says

As the biggest commercial centre of Nigeria, Lagos, has always been in the limelight. Before now various Internet sources had indicated that Lagos is the second fastest growing city in Africa and the seventh fastest in the world.

A recent survey by Mercer, a global outsourcing and consulting firm, has also ranked Lagos among the 50 most expensive cities of the world for expatriates. The survey, tagged World Cost of Living Survey 2012, covered 124 cities across five continents and placed Lagos at the 39th position, two steps up from the 41st position it occupied last year.

Muslim Brotherhood claims victory, Egypt army to hand over power by end June

Muslim Brotherhood Candidate, Mohammed Morsy

The Muslim Brotherhood said its candidate Mohamed Morsy, 60, had won the election against military rival Ahmed Shafik, 70, whose campaign refused to concede defeat and accused Morsy of “hijacking the election”.
“The army will hand over power to the elected president in a big ceremony end-month that the entire world will witness,” Major-General Mohamed El Assar, a member of the ruling army council, was quoted by Mena as saying.

“Egypt is a modern democratic country that upholds all democratic values.”

Official results are yet to come out, and the statement did not name the new president. It is the first comment on the elections by the ruling council since initial results came out early morning.
